Whatsapp Web was used a lot in this corona period and this new authentication feature will limit unauthorised access of whatsapp web. This will ask you for your fingerprint scan or face id unlock while logging in on whatsapp web.

But people thought that by this way, they could access our biometrical data. Clearing thing, whatsapp spokesperson said that 

      it cannot access the biometric information stored in your device.
