Apple’s ‘Spring loaded’ event today: How to watch live stream, AirPods, iPad Pro, iMac and more expected

The online event will be streamed on the Apple Events page and its official YouTube channel and will start at 10.00 am PDT and viewers in India can watch the Apple event at 10.30 pm today.

Apple has officially announced to host a "Spring Loaded" global event today (20 April). The digital-only event will take place at Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The online event will be streamed on the Apple Events page and its official YouTube channel and will start at 10.00 am PDT and viewers in India can watch the Apple event at 10.30 pm today.

During the event, the Cupertino based tech giant is expected to unveil the first new products of 2021 like updated iPad Pro models, a new low-cost iPad, a new iPad mini, refreshed iMacs, and the long-awaited AirTags. Apple could unveil an upgraded iMac at today's event and make it available in different colours, similar to the G3 iMac. Apple is also expected to rely on Apple Silicon chips for the new iMac models. Apple Silicon debuted on the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro last year as the Apple M1 chip, promising more performance than its Intel counterparts.

Apple has been long rumoured to be working on an iPad Pro with a mini-LED display. The mini-LED display is expected to offer better colours, improved contrasts, brighter imagery and will overall be an improvement over the previous generation iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro models are expected to feature some camera upgrades as well and support for Thunderbolt connection via USB-C port. These upcoming devices to be powered by an A14X chipset, which could be as powerful as Apple M1 silicon.

Apple has been working on mini-LED displays for quite some time now and there are a total of six products in the pipeline ranging from iPads to Macs.

The iPhone maker is also expected to announce "AirPods 3," the "AirPods Pro-lite," and the "AirPods X." Besides, the company may also introduce 'AirTags' Tile-like Bluetooth-based item trackers that will help users locate their belongings like keys, wallet, backpacks, and would possibly notify users when they are separated from a tagged item.
