Tip #1 Keep it simple!

First tip is to keep your thumbnail simple and straightforward. It means that you should not insert a lot of text in a thumbnail. It will create your thumbnail messy!. For example: If you are creating a video in which you have told how to create a dish. So in that video, you should be having only a picture of yours and the picture of the dish and very little amount of text. And this will also create suspense on viewers mind through which, the click rate of video will increase!

Tip #2 Pick best colors! 

Second tip is to add best color combination to your thumbnails. From best I mean that use bright colors like Red, Green, Blue. Our human brain prefers bright colors more than the dull colors. So you have to use bright colors in your thumbnail which will attract viewer's eyes and your click through rate will increase.

Tip #3 Choosing the right software 

The third and the last tip is to choose right software. If you are a beginner you can start with canva. It is super easy to use through which you can create start creating thumbnails from it.
